About Me

About Me:

Years in Position: 2 – I moved to Salt Lake City in the summer of 2016 and started at Edison that Fall.  Edison is my second home here in Salt Lake! I love spending time here, and coming to work each day!

Years in Education: 6 – Before coming to Salt Lake, I lived in New Orleans.  I’ve taught Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade.  I loved watching students learn to read in First Grade, and start to learn some tricky math in Second Grade, but Third Grade is my new favorite!

Credentials: BA in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from Tulane University in New Orleans, Currently enrolled in the Teacher Instructional Leadership Masters Program at the University of Utah, ESL endorsement in progress, Certified to teach Pre-K through 3rd Grade and Highly Qualified

Hobbies: Cooking, reading any book I can get my hands on, spending time with friends and family

Favorite Summer Memory: Spending time in Connecticut with my parents, brother and two dogs.  My favorite thing is watching the dogs play in their kiddie pool – they love the water!

Favorite Children's Book: The Witches by Roald Dahl, The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster

Favorite Movies: Elf – smiling is my favorite!
