Edison Car Procedures

Edison is implementing new drop-off and pick-up procedures to help keep our students safe. Several "near missed" have been witnessed and we do not want to see any of our precious children hurt.

Please help keep all our students safe!

  • We want all students, staff, and visitors to be safe while dropping and picking up students.
  • To be safe, it is important that we all follow the procedures - that includes parents, students, and staff.
  • Together we can make Edison a safer place!

Edison staff and parents will be outside helping during the drop-off and pick-up times. Please listen to and follow their directions respectfully. We are in this together. Working together, we can keep everyone safe.

Drop-off and Pick-Up Procedures: 

  • Cars need to keep moving! No parking on the drop-off/ pick-up lane for more than 3 minutes.
  • We will only use the crosswalk in front of the lobby.
  • Students must exit/enter the vehicle through the passenger side only.
  • Students must have an adult to walk across the parking lot.
  • Dropping off and picking up students must be done from the inner lane (right lane) only.

Here are the directions given to all our students:

Use crosswalks with a guard that guides you through the crosswalk only
Keep moving forward. No waiting more than 3 minutes and no leaving the vehicle.
Once you see your car, go directly to it. This helps parents keep moving and not have to get out.
Students must be with an adult to walk through the parking lot.
Students should enter and exit cars only from the inner lane.
Students should enter and exit cars from the passenger side only.
