Credentials: Master of Education (M.Ed.), Westminster College. National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in English Language Arts. Gifted and Talented Endorsement, University of Utah.

Family: Four grown children, three grandchildren, one spouse, one tortoise, and three cats

Hobbies: Reading and collecting children’s books; watching, directing, and reading about the plays of William Shakespeare.

Favorite summer memory: Experiencing poetry with kids in summer workshops at The King’s English Bookshop where I work part-time. Or, exploring tide pools at Devil’s Churn on the Oregon coast.

Favorite children's book: Very tough question to answer because there are so many favorites. Yet, The Phantom Tollbooth, by Norton Jester, stands as a very favorite.

Favorite movie: Dead Poets Society

Other: I’m passionate about reading and children’s books. My personal library includes nearly 20,000 books. ​
