My County Rec Pass for Children

You enjoy swimming, ice skating, rock climbing, working out? How about if it is FOR FREE? If you are 5-18 years old, you can have access to several county recreation facilities for free through the MY County Rec Pass program. 

Salt Lake County children can now pre-register for this much-anticipated pilot program at Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation Centers. 

Thanks to the overwhelming support from Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson and others, the MY County Rec Pass will activate on June 1. That day the doors of recreation centers will swing open, welcoming all Salt Lake County youth to partake in the array of activities the various locations have to offer FOR FREE.

WHO is eligible?
School-aged youth, ages 5–18
Must be Salt Lake County residents

WHAT does it offer?
Membership/pass to access and use Salt Lake County operated recreation centers and amenities, including:
• open plunge at swimming pools
• public skate at ice sheets
• drop-in gym
• weight room/fitness area/walking track (*age restrictions apply)
• climbing wall (*age restrictions apply)

WHEN will it be available?
June 1

WHERE can it be used?
• Recreation centers
• Ice centers
• Swimming pools

HOW do we sign up?
Parents/guardians may sign up their 5–17 year old(s) at a Salt Lake County operated recreation center with proof of SLCo residency, ID will suffice. Children must be with adult at time of registration to have photo taken and receive a membership fob. 18 year-olds do not need an adult present, must bring ID.

*Youth 9 years old and under must be accompanied by someone 14 years of age or older at all times. Other age restrictions may apply. All patrons must comply with the Patron Standards of Conduct.
