Voices for Safety: Family Focus Group on Proposed Video for G-19 & G-20 District Policies

Board Policy G-19 — Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Harassment, and Retaliation Prohibited
Board Policy G-20 — Bullying, Cyber-bullying, Hazing, Abusive Conduct, and Retaliation Prohibited

What?

• Review draft video (English/Spanish) that explain G19–G20 policies — rights, supports, and how these policies affect students and families

Why?

• To provide clear, consistent information about G19–G20 policies
• To ensure Multilanguage Learners can access and understand their rights and supports
• To gather feedback before finalizing materials and producing translated/recorded videos with the interpretation department after the pilot

What to expect:

• Brief presentation of draft written materials and short pilot video
• Small-group discussion and guided questions
• Opportunity to share suggestions for clarity, accessibility, and translation needs
